PLAQUEMINE - Sheriff’s deputies in Iberville Parish confirm a 24-year-old man died at the scene of a crash involving an ATV and a train Friday morning in Plaquemine.

Police have yet to identify the victim of the wreck who was pronounced dead at the scene by the parish coroner.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. at the railroad crossing on Barrow Street. Deputies said the ATV collided with the fourth car of the passing train.
