5 times in 5 weeks, more arrests made for trespassing in Tiger Stadium
BATON ROUGE – For the fifth time in just as many weeks, someone was arrested for breaking into Tiger Stadium.
University spokesperson Ernie Ballard confirmed to WBRZ that five male juveniles were caught in Tiger Stadium around 1:41 p.m. Saturday. The individuals were charged with unauthorized entry into a place of business and were released.
LSU Police say the juveniles did not cause any damages.
The arrests were made as a high school track meet was taking place across the street at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium.
Saturday’s incident is the fifth time in five weeks that individuals were caught trespassing inside Tiger Stadium. Last week, two University of Oklahoma students were arrested for trespassing.
Similar incidents have occurred each week since Jan. 4 when vandals broke into the stadium and defaced the field.
