BATON ROUGE- A violent incident among family members that took place at a local elementary school has resulted in an arrest.

On Wednesday Trenicia Parker allegedly assaulted the mother of her brother’s child in the hallway of Park Elementary School in East Baton Rouge.

The incident began when the victim went to register her child at the school. While the victim was filling out the paperwork, the child’s father entered the school’s office. The father was allegedly upset the child was removed from Ryan Elementary school earlier in the week without his knowledge.

Authorities said that the father grabbed the child and began to walk down the hallway outside of the school’s main office. When the victim followed him to try and get her child back she was struck by the father multiple times.

The victim told authorities that after he beat her, the father advised Parker to also assault the victim. Parker was said to have punched and slapped the victim multiple times. Parker also threw the victim to the floor, got on top of her and struck her several more times.

The victim sustained contusions to her upper back and shoulders because of that incident. School employees were able to intervene and stop the attack.

A video of the attack was later posted to social media with a hateful message written by Parker.

Parker is charged with unlawful disruption of the operation of a school, simple battery and cyberstalking.
