UPDATE: Renzoll Marrero, 34, has been arrested.

He is charged with DWI, obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana, driving without a license, failure to control a vehicle, no insurance and three counts of cruelty to juveniles.

ST. BERNARD PARISH- Deputies from the St. Bernard Sheriff's Office are looking for a suspected drunk driver who they say hopped out of an ambulance while he was on the way to the hospital.

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Renzoll Marrero.

WWL-TV reports that Marrero crashed his vehicle into a pole near Chalmette Avenue while he was driving east on St. Bernard Highway on Nov. 11. At the time of the crash, authorities said that Marrero had three children--ages 7, 5, and 2--in his vehicle. Reports say the children were not injured.

An ambulance was called for Marrero, who said he suffered from seizures, authorities said.

While on the way to the hospital, Marrero jumped out of the back of the ambulance and ran away. The Sheriff's Office said a deputy chased Marrero but was not able to catch him.

Anyone with information about Marrero's whereabouts is encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office at 504-271-2501.
