Authorities investigating 'loud boom noise' off Elliot Road
BATON ROUGE - Deputies are currently investigating a loud boom noise that residents say happened near Hoo Shoo Too Road Saturday afternoon.
Multiple residents reported hearing a “loud boom noise” that shook their homes around 6:40 p.m. A spokesperson for Louisiana State Police said that the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
A spokesperson for EBRSO said that deputies have not yet determined the source of the noise. Casey Hicks said it is possible that the boom was caused by someone shooting a gun on their property.
@WBRZ so much louder than a gun shot!! I've lived here 8 years and have heard all the hunting and this was not a shotgun!!
