Areas of southern Florida now under hurricane warning
MIAMI - Areas under a hurricane "watch" near the southeast tip of Florida have now been switched to a hurricane "warning" as Hurricane Matthew makes it way to the coast according to the National Hurricane Center.
The hurricane "watch" has additionally been extended northward toward the Flagler-Volusia county line. The tropical storm "watch" has also been changed to a tropical storm "warning" from Seven Mile Bridge to Golden Bridge. Tropical storm warnings have been added from Chokoloskee to Ocean Reef and Florida Bay, as well.
The National Hurricane Center also reports a hurricane warning is still in effect for Haiti, Cuba and parts of the Bahamas.
