    LSU picks up win No. 40 in 9-6 victory over Nicholls

    BATON ROUGE - The LSU baseball team picked up their fortieth win of the season with a 9-6 victory over Nicholls State.

    The Tigers trailed 2-0 early in this game, but scored five runs in the bottom half of the third inning to take a 5-2 lead.

    A three-run home run from Mason Katz extended the Tiger lead to 8-2.

    Nicholls State rallied in the ninth inning to score four runs but it was not enough as the Tigers finished the season perfect in midweek games.
