BATON ROUGE - The LSU baseball team picked up their fortieth win of the season with a 9-6 victory over Nicholls State.

The Tigers trailed 2-0 early in this game, but scored five runs in the bottom half of the third inning to take a 5-2 lead.

A three-run home run from Mason Katz extended the Tiger lead to 8-2.

Nicholls State rallied in the ninth inning to score four runs but it was not enough as the Tigers finished the season perfect in midweek games.

BATON ROUGE - Johnny Jones was introduced as LSU's basketball coach on April 16th, and he hasn't stopped working ever since.

Jones has rounded out his coaching staff along with his incoming recruiting class.
