Video shows worker dumping water on homeless person
BATON ROUGE - The woman accused of dumping a bucketful of water onto a homeless person had been ticketed for simple battery, police said Wednesday.
A video posted on social media appears to show a worker at Triple S Food Mart on North Foster Drive shouting and slinging water onto a woman sitting on a curb outside the store sometime Monday, Dec. 26.
Kasey Weber, 33, has been given a misdemeanor summons on a count of simple battery, police said. A police spokesman said the department is withholding Weber's address out of concern for her safety.
After the video was posted of the the bundled-up homeless woman being doused with water during an extended freeze, people the mayor's office described as "community partners" with organizations working with homeless people found the woman and took her to the Bridge Center.
The owner of Triple S said in a social media video that the employee had been fired.
