Video shows LSU's Derrius Guice being taken away in ambulance
BATON ROUGE - LSU athletics officials confirmed a football player was taken by EMS from practice Wednesday.
Michael Bonnette said the 18-year-old player was taken to the hospital around 5:30 p.m. from LSU's indoor practice facility.
Bonnette did not say why the player was taken to the hospital, or release his identity. But, video recorded by a WBRZ photographer of the player being loaded into an ambulance clearly shows it is Derrius Guice.
Guice is a five-star recruit from Catholic High where he was ranked one of the best running back's in the 2015 class.
"We're gonna be a destructive group. We are going to damage the defensive and get [creative] with our coaches. I just hope they put us in the right position to win," Guice said in an interview with the WBRZ Sports Department when he was drafted in February.
Guice focuses a lot of attention on his workout, and posts outrageous fitness videos on his Twitter account.
