Popping fireworks safely
BATON ROUGE - There's only a couple days left before we ring in the New Year. Many people will celebrate by popping fireworks. State Fire Marshal Butch Browning joined Kylie Dixon on 2une In this morning to talk about ways to do so safely.
Fireworks are illegal in East Baton Rouge Parish, but are legal in rural parts of Ascension, Livingston, Point Coupee and Assumption Parishes. However, they are illegal within the city limits of those parishes.
