Keeping track of your kids activities
BATON ROUGE - With the kids going back to school, a do-it-yourself expert recommended keeping a weekly schedule board to keep track of your children's activities.
Julie Laperouse from www.screamingpeacock.net said a monthly calendar is not nearly as effective as a weekly schedule.
Laperouse used these tools to make her schedule board: a framed white board, a packet of alphabet stickers and craft tape.
Laperouse said to divide the board based on how many kids are in the family. Once that's done, place the sticker letters into columns, to represent each child.
She also recommended using the sticker letters to mark the days of the week into different rows. Finally, she used craft tape to divide the rows and columns and formed a weekly schedule board.
