BATON ROUGE - Officials have announced trick-or-treat times for residents on Halloween evening.
EMS has released a list of helpful safety tips for this spooky season. Tips include making sure costumes fit properly, checking candy for signs of tampering, and mapping out routes before leaving. For the full list of tips, click here.
The following are the times for trick-or-treating on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Ascension Parish
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Assumption Parish
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
East Baton Rouge Parish
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
East and West Feliciana Parishes
6 p.m to 8 p.m.
Livingston Parish
Albany - Oct. 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Denham Springs - Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
French Settlement: Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
Livingston - Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
Springfield - Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
Walker - Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
In all unincorporated areas of the parish, trick-or-treat hours are set for Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.
Pointe Coupee Parish
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in rural areas
7 p.m. to 8 p.m. City of New Roads costume contest
5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Morganza
6 p.m. 7:30 p.m. in Livonia
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Fordoche
St. James Parish
