Driver killed in fiery crash on Airline Hwy.
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police and paramedics are investigating a deadly crash on Airline Highway that happened Thursday morning.
According to police, crews were called to a motor vehicle fire on Airline near Cedarcrest Drive around 4:40 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the victim was burned to the point that the remains could not be identified.
Investigators are now awaiting DNA results to identify the driver, who reportedly crashed into a traffic light pole at high speed.

No other vehicles were involved. The crash is still under investigation.
