Capitol Hill Christmas Tree chosen, chopped down
CASS LAKE, MN - Christmas is still nearly two months away, but the tree that will be on display in Washington, D.C. has already been chosen and chopped down.
The winner this year- an 88 ft. tall white spruce from Minnesota. This is the first time in more than two decades the tree for the nation's capitol is from Minnesota.
Ten thousand ornaments will adorn the tree as it embarks on a 28 city journey before finally ending up in D.C.
