ST. HELENA – Authorities are responding to a house fire where a child died while trapped inside.

Officials say 3-year-old Elijah Robertson died Friday afernoon. The father, 31-year-old Detric Robertson was injured and sustained second and third degree burns to his torso

The cause of the fire has not been released at the time of this post.

The house is located on Charlie Overton Road.
