Zachary homicide victim was strangled, stabbed
ZACHARY - Results of an autopsy on a man killed in Zachary over the weekend indicate that he was strangled and stabbed to death.
Officials say the body was found at around 7pm on the 3000 block of South Vernon Road.
Robert Noce, 48, of 3021 South Vernon Road was found dead on Saturday in his home. Noce was identified using fingerprints Monday morning.
On Monday afternoon, the East Baton Rouge Coroner's Office reported the results of an autopsy performed on Noce earlier. During the autopsy, the coroner ruled Noce's death to be a homicide resulting from strangulation and stabbing.
Noce was originally charged with aggravated rape of a child in June. He pleaded down to and was convicted of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile on June 22, 2015.
No word yet on suspects or a motive.
