Woman ripped off dirt bike by hair, man arrested
ARABI - St. Bernard Parish authorities arrested a New Orleans man Tuesday after they say he yanked a woman off a dirt bike and stole the vehicle.
The 18-year-old victim was riding at the intersection of Patricia Street and Rowley Boulevard in Arabi on Monday when the suspect got out of a car and approached her.
Investigators say the woman tried to drive away but the man grabbed her by the hair and pulled her off the vehicle.
Deputies say Shiquille Robinson was arrested the next day.
He was booked with carjacking and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Deputies say Robinson took them to a location in eastern New Orleans where the dirt bike was recovered.
It was not immediately clear whether Robinson has an attorney.
