Willie Quinn named FCS, SWAC special teams player of the week
BATON ROUGE - Willie Quinn has been named the FCS STATS Special Teams Player of the Week. The announcement was release Monday afternoon.
Quinn earned his second-straight SWAC Special Teams Player of the Week award after making a dazzling 39-yard punt return touchdown and later adding a 90-yard kickoff return for a score during the Jaguars’ 50-13 win over Mississippi Valley State. Quinn amassed 187 total yards from scrimmage (152 return) and also threw for a 89-yard touchdown during the game.
His performance caught the nation's eye landing him a spot on "Sportscenter's Top 10" . The Miami, Fla. native was also listed among the NCAA's top performers.
