LAS VEGAS- Expect plenty of applause for Vice President Joe Biden and superstar singer Lady Gaga when they take the stage at an event in Las Vegas to raise awareness about sexual assault on college campuses.
The seemingly odd couple is stopping Thursday at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as part of the White House's "It's On Us" campaign. The initiative urges people to support victims and intervene when consent is questionable.
Lady Gaga is expected to perform at the 1:30 p.m. event. The vice president introduced the singer at the Academy Awards, where she performed "Til It Happens to You."
The song appears in "The Hunting Ground," a documentary about sexual assault on college campuses. Its music video urges people to join the "It's On Us" campaign.
