Vendors to hold fundraiser for flood victims under Perkins Road overpass on Saturday
BATON ROUGE – The Baton Rouge community is coming together to host a fundraiser to benefit victims of the recent severe weather and flooding.
Several food and drink vendors are hosting an event called the "Fundraiser Under The Overpass" on Saturday at 6 p.m. under the Perkins Road overpass. All proceeds raised at the event will go to the Louisiana Flood Relief Fund established by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.
Admission to the event is $25 and attendees are asked to bring a donation item such as toiletry, clothes, water bottles, bedding, etc.
According to the Business Report, the organizers of the fundraiser are Nick Hufft, co-owner of The Overpass Merchant and Chad Hughes, co-owner of Ivar's.

The proceeds will go to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and the foundation will send staff to the areas that are in the greatest need.
