CHICAGO - The Cook County medical examiner has identified two people killed in a Chicago police shooting as a 19-year-old black man and 55-year-old black woman.

Spokeswoman Becky Schlikerman says Quientonio Legreir and Betty R. Jones were killed early Saturday on the city's West Side. Jones was pronounced dead at Loretto Hospital at 4:51 a.m. Legreir was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 5:14 a.m.

The medical examiner's office says autopsies have not been scheduled.

Earlier Saturday, Chicago police said an officer responding to a domestic disturbance shot and killed two people after being "confronted by a combative subject."

Police said the shooting is under investigation and the case has been referred to the city's main police oversight agency.
