BATON ROUGE - Two people were killed by gunfire Wednesday evening at a home off North 38th Street, the shots were fired near the location of a rap video that was in the process of being filmed.

Police say 25-year-old D'Andre Mills and 31-year-old Landon Johnson lost their lives after being shot at a residence within the 3900 block of Dalton Street around 7:33 p.m.

Representatives with the Baton Rouge Police Department issued a statement regarding the fatal shooting Thursday morning, saying, "there were a large group of people gathered outside the house located at this address when the shooting occurred."

WBRZ learned that a music video was being filmed in the area, and police told reporters it appeared some of the people connected to the video may have been involved in the shooting. But at the time police spoke with WBRZ, it wasn't clear if Mills and Johnson were involved in the production of the video.

After the two men were hit by gunfire, paramedics arrived quickly and performed CPR on one of the injured men. Both Mills and Johnson were then rushed to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

Police say at this time, they have yet to learn of a motive or develop a list of shooting suspect(s).

Anyone with information related to the deadly incident is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867(STOP).
