Tulane falls to Boston College 6-3, Eagles win Oxford Regional
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Boston College scored three runs in the second inning and never trailed to beat Tulane 6-3 in the NCAA Tournament's Oxford Regional championship game on Sunday night.
The Eagles (34-20) completed a perfect regional with their third win in three days. The program advances to the Super Regional round of 16 for the first time in school history.
Johnny Adams went 4 for 4 with three RBIs to lead Boston College. Jacob Stevens (4-3) earned the win, giving up two earned runs over five innings.
Tulane (41-21) managed just seven hits. Hunter Williams was 2 for 3 with a solo homerun.
