Tristen Land - Weekend Anchor & Multimedia Journalist
Tristen Land joined WBRZ as a multimedia journalist in January 2020 and now anchors WBRZ Morning News on Saturdays. A native Houstonian, but couldn't be happier to call Baton Rouge her home.
Before coming to the Bayou State, she worked at KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported at KAVU in Victoria, Texas and was a multimedia content contributor at KTRK in Houston, Texas. She truly believes that every person has a story worth telling, and she's honored to have the privilege to do so.
Tristen graduated Cum Laude with a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English Literature from the University of Houston. While in school, she got her first start in journalism interning at the local Fox affiliate, KRIV-TV.
Tristen's greatest passion is serving others. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family and traveling with friends . Her hobbies include volunteering, exploring the city, going for a run and good conversation. She's also a part of the National Association of Black Journalists.
