Trip to France cancelled for Lafayette high school students

LAFAYETTE - A group of Lafayette High School French immersion students and two faculty members scheduled to depart for Paris Saturday have cancelled their trip in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris.
    
The Advertiser reports  that the group was returning to Lafayette. Eleven students were planning to go to France as part of an exchange program.
    
Lafayette High School teacher Rodolfo Espinoza told the newspaper that the week-long trip had been canceled due to attacks within France's capital that has left scores dead.
    
Lafayette High School Principal Donald Thornton said school officials were working on scheduling flights home from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
