Tigers Crush Cardinals to tune of 11-2 victory
BATON ROUGE - LSU Baseball letting Lamar know early this would not be a happy visit to Baton Rouge.
The Tigers scoring 9 runs in the first three innings, to eventually win 11-2.
LSU's first seven batters reaching base in the first inning, with Mark Laird driving in the first run to make it 1-0. Connor Hale, Kade Scivicque and Chris Chinea also adding RBI to leave the 1st inning up 6-0.
Then in the 2nd inning, Alex Bregman hitting a solo home run to left field to make it 7-0. It's his 8th home run of the year.
In the 3rd inning, Chinea adding a 2-run home run to make it 9-0 LSU. Even pitcher Collin Strall getting in on the action, with an RBI in the game.
LSU now travels to Athens to face Georgia this weekend in a 3-game weekend.
