Tiger softball hangs on to beat ULM7-3
The LSU Tiger softball team bounce back from a losing weekend with a 7-3 win against the ULM Warhawks on Tuesday night behind the efforts of relief pitcher Carley Hoover.
Hoover took over for Kelsee Selman after a rough start to the game, one that saw the visiting Warhawks score two runs on three hits after just five batters.
Hoover allowed six hits and just one run in the next six and a third innings striking out eleven.
The Tigers tied the score in the second inning and then LSU third baseman Sahvannna Jaquish smashed a solo home run in the third to give the Tigers a lead they would never relinquish.
LSU will host Ole Miss this weekend with a single game on Friday and a double header on Saturday.
