Tiger baseball survives marathon against Bulldogs
The LSU Tiger baseball team scored two runs in the 14th inning to beat Mississippi State 5-3 late on Friday night in Starkville, Mississippi.
The Tigers held a 3-2 advantage moving to the 9th inning, when the Bulldogs pushed across the game tieing run.
LSU held off multiple scoring threats throughout the extra innings to keep the Bulldogs off the board, and then in the 14th, Tiger thirdbaseman Connor Hale smacked a shot to left center to score the two game winning runs.
LSU and Mississippi State will start game two on Friday night at 7:00 p.m..
