Thousands remain without power on Wednesday
BATON ROUGE - More than 22,000 homes are still without power Wednesday morning across South Louisiana after torrential downpours led to the flooding behind massive outages.
According to Entergy, 14,182 customers remain in the dark. DEMCO reported an additional 8,313 customers without power.
More than 5,000 residents in the Denham Springs area (70726) should be expecting power back on by Thursday or Friday as recovery efforts slowly come to life in one of the hardest hit areas in the region. Power in the Baton Rouge area should be back on Friday, according to Entergy website.
