The Who postpones North America tour
NEW YORK- Guitarist Pete Townshend of the The Who says fans will have to wait to celebrate the band's 50th anniversary.
The band postponed all 50 dates of the "THE Who Hits 50!" tour this fall because lead singer Roger Daltrey is recovering from viral meningitis. The band says he's feeling better but he is under doctor's orders to rest.
Originally just four stops on the tour were scrapped hoping Daltrey would be well enough to continue.
When meningitis was discovered, the entire tour was postponed until next spring.
