That's not mistletoe
NORTH POLE, ALASKA- People at the North Pole can now put marijuana on their Christmas list and it won't be a wish.
Pot became legal in Alaska this year and sales can begin next year.
The North Pole City Council rejected a measure to ban marijuana dispensaries and some members were swayed by Santa Clause- his real name. Clause says he's a medical marijuana patient and wants to buy pot in North Pole instead of having to drive to Fairbanks.
Some people were worried how the town would be perceived, where light poles resemble candy canes.
One council member says the town allows the sale of alcohol, cigarettes and guns so marijuana wouldn't damage its reputation.
