Teen facing multiple charges of child pornography after selling images, videos online
BATON ROUGE- Authorities arrested a teenager they say sold nude photos and explicit videos of his ex-girlfriend online.
The photos and videos of the victim were taken when she was between the ages of 14 and 15.
Alex Borg, 19, is charged with 34 counts of nonconsensual disclosure of a private image, 71 counts of pornography involving juveniles, and possession of marijuana.
According to the affidavit, on March 19 the victim contacted authorities after she discovered Borg had made a fake profile online using an old photo of her. Reports show that Borg was posing as an 18-year-old girl named Molly. Borg used the fake identity to sell explicit images and videos of the victim.
Through their investigation, detectives found images and videos of the victim in email and social media accounts that belonged to Borg. Authorities also found a PayPal account which showed multiple money transfers connected to the buying and selling of the explicit images.
While arresting Borg on Tuesday, authorities seized multiple cell phones, jump drives, and computers at his home. Deputies also found a black bag under his bed that contained drug paraphernalia and 8.7 grams of suspected marijuana.
According to arrest reports, Borg admitted to posting the nude images of the victim on public forum websites and selling them multiple people. Borg allegedly made $3,000 by selling the nude images and explicit videos of the victim.
