Taiwan closes schools, offices ahead of island-wide typhoon
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Schools and offices are closed on Taiwan and people in dangerous areas have been evacuated as a large typhoon with 100 mile-per-hour winds approaches the island.
Disaster officials say the typhoon is expected to cover the entire mountainous island.
Landfall is forecast Tuesday evening.
It's Taiwan's fourth typhoon of the year.
