Suspected drunk driver arrested in deadly crash

WALKER - Louisiana State Police responded to a deadly crash in Walker on Saturday.

State police say the accident happened around  2:30 a.m. as 19-year-old Kali Sunde was driving north on Walker Road. She crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another vehicle driven by 19-year old Blaze Kilpatrick.

Kilpatrick was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Sunde was arrested and taken to a nearby facility where police took a breath sample. Police say her BAC was over the legal driving limit. 

Sunde was booked into Livingston Parish Jail for vehicular homicide, vehicular negligent injuring, first-offense DWI, driving left of center and no insurance.

A toxicology sample was submitted for testing for Kilpatrick.

Police are still investigating.
