BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police have arrested 20-year-old Tyree Richard in connection to a Sunday night murder.

According to police, Richard shot 26-year-old Jeremiah Hall and a second victim just before 10 p.m. in the 3500 block of Victoria Drive. 

Hall died from his injuries. The second victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

According to the arrest report, earlier that day, Richard learned his brother had gotten into altercation with Hall. Authorities say Richard went to the home, pulled out a gun, and shot Hall. The second victim pulled out his own gun and shot at Richard.

At that point, Richard opened fire on the victims.

Richard is charged with second-degree murder and was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
