Surveillance video shows employees helping 11-year-old who was shot
BATON ROUGE - According to sources, an 11-year-old was shot near the intersection of North Foster Drive and Winbourne Avenue Friday night. The child's injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

This shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. According to BRPD, a car was traveling down North Foster when someone shot into the car from outside. Investigators say it's unclear where those shots came from.
The car then crashed into a power pole in the same area, knocking power lines onto North Foster Drive. The victim ran to a nearby store to seek help.

Surveillance video shows the car roll to a stop in front of the store and 11-year-old limping towards the store. The manager says he did everything he could to help.

"He come in like this and he sit in this chair," Ahmed Mana told News 2's Brett Buffington. "We help him with this (rag) because we didn't have anything else."

Mana and another worker used that rag to put pressure on the gunshot wound.
"We wrapped up his leg; we called the police; we called his mom; we gave them the phone to call whoever they want to," Mana explains.
News 2 crews were on scene as crime scene investigators collected evidence. Police haven't released any suspects or a possible motive, although our cameras captured someone being taken away from the scene in the back of a patrol car.
