State police: Georgia man dies in fiery Louisiana crash
CROWLEY, La. - State police in Louisiana say a Georgia man died in a fiery weekend highway accident.
It happened Sunday around 9:40 a.m.
State police say a tractor-trailer rig driven by 63-year-old Michael Ransom of Villa Rica, Georgia, was heading west on Interstate 10 when it ran off the roadway and struck a tree. The rig burst into flames.

The Acadia Parish Coroner's Office pronounced Ransom dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
