State mineral lease sale brings in $59K in bonus revenue
BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board's July lease brought in $59,150 in bonus revenue.
The board said in a news release Tuesday buyers bought two leases covering 294 acres in Calcasieu and Plaquemines parishes. The lease sale offered tracts covering a total of 587 acres.
According to the board, mineral bonus payments to the state in fiscal year 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
