Southern to pick new president
BATON ROUGE- Southern University is expected to name its next president today.
The two finalists, Ray Belton and Ivory Toldson, met with students, teachers, and alumni on Thursday to garner support. One of them will take over for the outgoing president, Ronald Mason. The university's board decided not to renew his contract.
Whoever is elected president will also serve as chancellor of the Baton Rouge campus.
