When it was announced that Southern football would lose Spring ball due to a phase of NCAA Sanctions, many wondered how it would affect the team and if it was something that would be able to be seen.

It may have reared its head Saturday against Prairie View.

The Jaguars fumbled the ball six times against the Panthers, including losing 4 fumbles in the 47-42 loss to Prairie View. The Jags also missing several key tackles, leading to the Panthers converting 11 of 16 3rd downs.

Head Coach Dawson Odums pointing out that spring practice a lot of times is used to teach technique and discipline, because once you get to fall practice, the instruction is much more detailed.
