"Sons of Guns" star denies molestation charges
BATON ROUGE - Relatives of Baton Rouge gun dealer and reality TV star William Hayden tell News 2 accusations he molested a child are lies made up to take advantage of his high-profile status.
Hayden's daughter Stephanie, who appears with her father on the Discovery show "Sons of Guns," said that Hayden surrendered to charges of molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature Friday night. He was released on a $150,000 bond.
Hayden spoke with showbiz gossip website TMZ about the accusations and said that a woman he had a relationship with accused him of molesting a minor and reported him to the authorities.
The Discovery Channel had no comment about the matter. "Sons of Guns", which features Hayden's firearms business, is not currently on their schedule.
