LIVINGSTON - Deputies say they arrested a man they believe killed a woman in Livingston Parish Saturday morning.

Officials say Caleb Lejune, 27, killed Joy Messina, 47, at the house they shared on the 28000 block of S. Satsuma Road. He was arrested after deputies stopped him traveling on S. Satsuma Road. Officials say Lejune admitted to killing Messina.

Sheriff's deputies say Messina was found with cut marks on her lower abdomen and throat.

Lejune is charged with one count of second degree murder and is being held in the Livingston Parish jail on a $500,000 bond.
