Sen. Bill Cassidy withdraws support for Roy Moore amid sexual misconduct allegations
BATON ROUGE - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana has withdrawn his support for Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore of Alabama amid allegations of sexual misconduct by Moore several years ago.
"Based on the allegations against Roy Moore, his response and what is known, I withdraw support," Cassidy said in a tweet posted Saturday night.

Moore is denying allegations of decades-old sexual misconduct with minors published Thursday in a Washington Post story. The revelations come a month before the Dec. 12 special election.
