Saints lead Broncos 17-10 in the 3rd Quarter
NEW ORLEANS - The Saints (4-4) returned home to take on the Denver Broncos (6-3) on Sunday.
The Saints lead the Broncos 17-10 in the 3rd quarter at the Superdome.
Denver scored first with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Siemian to Jordan Taylor to go up 7-0 with 5:45 remaining in the first quarter. Denver challenged the ruling on the field of an incomplete pass.
Drew Brees threw two interceptions in the first half.
In the second quarter, Denver extended their lead with a 50-yard field goal by Brandon McManus.
Denver was driving with 36 seconds remaining in the half when Sterling Moore intercepted Trevor Siemian's pass at the Saints 30 yard-line.
Will Lutz hit a 30-yard field goal to put the Saints on the scoreboard with 2 seconds left in the half.
The Saints tied the game at 10-10 with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Brees to Willie Snead with 8:30 remaining in the third quarter.
Brees and Snead connect again for a 5-yard touchdown with 3:59 remaining in the 3rd quarter to give the Saints their first lead of the game.
The Saints are winners of 3 of their last 4 after starting the season 0-3. If the Saints beat the Broncos, they will move to 5-4 and above .500 for the first time since the end of the 2013 season.
Last Sunday, the Saints beat the San Francisco 49ers 41-23.
