Robertson late RBI lifts LSU to 3-2 win over Texas A&M in game 2
When your offense is struggling to score, you'll take them however you can get them.
So it's no suprise that LSU's three runs came on an infield single, a sacrifice grounder and an error on a grounder.
But LSU will take it, as the Tigers defeat the Aggies 3-2 Friday night to tie the series up at 1-1.
The Tigers took the lead in the 9th inning, when Kramer Robertson's grounder to second base got right under the glove of Texas A&M's Ryne Birk. It was scored as an erron, but scored Greg Deichmann from 2nd to give LSU the 3-2 lead.
LSU starting pitcher Alex Lange pitched 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing only two runs with 11 strikeouts. Closer Caleb Gilbert gets the credit for the win, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings with 3 strikeouts, including fanning the last two Aggies batters with a runner on 3rd.
