WASHINGTON - The White House says President Donald Trump to travel to Texas on Tuesday.

Trump will visit multiple cities affected by Harvey over the weekend. 

In a tweet, he said he will be going later to "avoid disruption." 

I will be going to Texas as soon as that trip can be made without causing disruption. The focus must be life and safety.

As of this post, five deaths and multiple injuries have been reported in connection to the storm.
