Rain causes re-shuffling of LSU-Florida baseball series with game 1 delayed until Saturday
BATON ROUGE - Game 1 of the series between top-ranked Florida and No. 8 LSU was suspended Thursday night due to severe weather with the score tied 0-0 in the bottom of the third inning. Play was stopped with LSU rightfielder Antoine Duplantis at the plate and a runner on second base with one out.
Thursday’s suspended game will be resumed in the bottom of the third inning at 11 a.m. CT Saturday, and it will be a full nine-inning game. Fans should bring their Game #33 tickets in order to be admitted to Saturday’s 11 a.m. game. Details about the televising the game will be announced as soon as possible.
Game 2 of the series will start at 6 p.m. CT Friday night, as originally scheduled, and it will be a full nine-inning game. Fans should bring their Game #34 tickets in order to be admitted to Friday’s 6 p.m. game. Friday’s Game 2 will be televised on the SEC Network.
Game 3 of the series will start at 3:30 p.m. CT Saturday, as originally scheduled, and it will be a seven-inning game. Fans should bring their Game #35 tickets in order to be admitted to Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. game. Saturday’s Game 3 will be televised on ESPNU.
