Proteus, Orpheus times pushed up due to rain
NEW ORLEANS - Parade organizers and city officials pushed up the start of Monday night's Uptown parades in New Orleans due to the threat of rain.
The city said Krewe of Proteus will roll at 4 p.m. instead of 5:15 p.m. and Krewe of Orpheus will begin at 4:45 p.m. instead of 6 p.m.
Both parades will also have a slight change in route, turning right at Canal Street from St. Charles Avenue before continuing on their normal routes.
Tuesday's parade schedules are not changed at this time. City officials said more information on Zulu and Rex will be released later Monday.
