BATON ROUGE - A power outage in the North Acadian Thruway/Eden Park area left nearly 900 residents without lights or heat.

The outage occurred early Thursday morning, around 5:30 a.m. and at the time, Entergy representatives told WBRZ they'd dispatched crews to patrol the area to pinpoint a cause of the outage.

It took longer than usual to get to the root of the problem and though power was restored around 11 a.m., Entergy did not get back to WBRZ with a reason for the outage.

An area off Bluff Road, near Oak Park Avenue was also impacted by an outage around 5:10 a.m.

Entergy said 440 customers were affected and by 11 a.m. power was restored to the area.
