Police: woman shot after argument in New Orleans restaurant
NEW ORLEANS - Police in New Orleans say a woman is in critical condition after a shooting at small Chinese restaurant at the edge of the city's Central Business District near the French Quarter.
Police Superintendent Michael Harrison says the Friday afternoon shooting is believed to have occurred after an argument between two people who knew each other.
Identities of the suspect and victim were not immediately available.
Nobody else was injured.
Harrison says a man was taken into custody soon after the shooting in the China Wall restaurant, and police are reviewing videos of the incident.
Harrison says the investigation so far indicates that the argument began after the man vomited in the restaurant.
